Memorial Day is May 27, where we remember those who have served in the armed forces both past and present. Restaurants are showing their appreciation as well, offering discounts for veterans and military members. 

Here are some spots with deals on Memorial Day. 

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill: Take a Gold Star family, veteran or active-duty service member out to eat on May 27 and Firebirds will cover their lunch or dinner.

Logan’s Roadhouse: Active-duty military or veterans can get a free American Roadhouse Meal on May 27 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at participating locations.

McCormick & Schmick's: Gold Star parents, spouses, veterans, and active members of the U.S. military and National Guard can get one free entrée on Memorial Day during lunch or dinner.

Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub: Veterans and active duty military can buy one meal and get any entrée from the 9 Real Size Entrées for $9.99 Menu for free with proof of service. 

Outback Steakhouse: Service men and women, police officers, and firefighters get 10% off their check all year long with valid military ID.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop: Veterans and active military with ID can receive a free sandwich, salad or Pick-Your-Pair when they buy one on both May 26 and 27. 

Texas de Brazil: The restaurant continuously offers a 20% off "Heroes Discount" for military members and veterans with a badge or ID. 

TGI Friday's: Family meal boxes (appetizers, entrées, sides, and salads) and party platters are 15% off.
