Due to Nebraska's Direct Health Measures and to ensure the safety and health of all potential participants, Peru State athletic department officials announced Friday that their annual Bobcat Golf Classic will not be held on Friday, May 22.

Tournament director Brenda Lutz and Athletic Director Wayne Allbury discussed the possibilities of holding the tournament with Table Creek Golf Course owners. It was mutually agreed to move the tournament date.

Lutz and Albury, along with the College Foundation director of alumni relations, Deborah Solie, collaborated and decided the best potential date would be Friday, Oct. 2. This is the day before the 2020 Homecoming which could allow for Bobcat alumni, families, and friends to not only participate in the golf tournament, but Homecoming festivities that weekend as well.

There will be a slight change in the day's event as registration will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start to begin at 9 a.m. There will be a breakfast available and lunch will follow the tournament. There will be the usual raffles and auction items!

This is a fun tournament where those interested in Bobcat athletics can come, socialize, and meet with coaches and current student-athletes. You can connect with your fellow alumni and friends and compete for hole and flight prizes.

In addition, following the event, Bobcat alumni could attend the homecoming banquet on campus.
