Patricia A. Ostrander, 90, Palmyra

Patricia A. Ostrander 90 of Palmyra died Tuesday, June 9, 2020, in Lincoln.  She was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Palmyra daughter of Tom and Ellen Malone.
She graduated from Eagle High School then attended business school and worked for a foot doctor.
She married Charles Ostrander on Feb. 24, 1949.  He stole her heart because he could dance. They settled on the farm raising crops, various animals, and later a dairy farm. Four children were born into this marriage.
Patty loved sports, milking the cows early in order to attend her kids and grandkids activities. She was an avid Husker fan joining friends to watch the football games, listening and watching NU volleyball, mens and womens basketball, plus also watching the Creighton Bluejays. You would often see her wrapped in her Cavalier's blanket as she cheered them on.
Patty was a member of the Palmyra Better Halves Extension Club and the Mothers Club for many years. She loved to bake, dance, sew, do crafts, talk on phone, and spend time with her extended family.
She is survived by her sons Steve (Glenda) Ostrander of Palmyra, Dave (Pam) Ostrander of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughters Karen (Rick) Stoner of Palmyra, Cheryl (Fritz) Steinhoff of Greenwood;  13 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; sister-in-law Jennie Pollock of Tacoma, Wash.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Ellen Malone; husband Charles Ostrander; brothers Bernard Malone, Mike Malone, Bourke Malone, Raymond Malone;  sisters Ellen Bolz, Hanora McLaughlin.  
A private family service was held at Lincoln Memorial Wednesday June 17, at 10 a.m. It was livestreamed on Lincoln Memorial's Facebook page. Memorials are suggested to the Family to be designated later.
