Damme works diligently to promote 4-H, including: serves as a club leader; volunteers to help lead summer workshops, volunteers as an open class superintendent at county fair, helps with entry and judging at both the 4-H and open class days, coordinates and runs the 4-H Shooting Sports program and contest, helps with many other 4-H contests and events, and volunteers to help at the Nebraska State Fair entry and judging day.
“Sherlyn Damme goes above and beyond when it comes to being a 4-H leader! She dedicates more time than anyone we know to 4-H. She is such a fun leader and is always looking for new and fun ways to teach us club members. She always comes up with great workshop ideas. Sherlyn is always positive, she challenges us to push ourselves and to reach further. She is just fun to be around and makes us want to come to 4-H!” said the Steinhoff/Velazco family.
The example that Sherlyn Damme show is also the 4-H motto: To Make the Best Better.
