FIRST LEGO League teams to visit NC Council Monday night

Julie Rach

The Nebraska City City Council will hear presentations from the Lourdes Central Catholic and Nebraska City Middle School FIRST LEGO League teams during its meeting tomorrow night (Feb. 3).

The teams will discuss their competition project ideas with the council.

Also on the agenda are the Morton-James Public Library annual report, the Nebraska City Museum Association annual visitation report, and audit reports from Nebraska City Utilities and the City of Nebraska City.

Council members are set to discuss and take action on one resolution, which will add a new seasonal swimming pool manager/lifeguard trainer to the city employee step pay schedule; and two ordinances, the first of which will amend city code to update the minimum age to purchase tobacco, electronic nicotine delivery systems, and alternative nicotine products; and the second, which will grant authorization for impoundment of at-large animals and fowl.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. in the William F. Davis Room of City Hall, 1409 Central Ave.
