Ag conference set Jan. 21-22 at St. Joseph
The Northwest Missouri Certified Crop Advisors Conference is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 21 and 22 in St. Joseph, Mo., at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center, 1201 N. Woodbine Rd.
This is an excellent 2-day conference where crop advisors and producers learn from experts from Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.
On Tuesday, Jan. 21, there will be updates on disease management, soil testing, new advances in weed management, systems approach to no-till and soil health, and nitrogen management after cover crops and more. Jan. 22, topics include: “MU Certified” Strip Trial program data, corn and soybean outlooks, soil health basics and understanding SHAC Test Results, new technologies for scouting invasive insects, NW MO Extension Fertilizer Research and more!
This year three Nebraska Extension staff are on the program, Paul Jasa, Extension Engineer will have presentations on the Systems Approach to No-till and Soil Health and No-till Residue and Water Management. Laila Puntel, Assistant Professor in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture at the University of Nebraska will discuss Tools for Nutrient Management and Project Sense and Gary Lesoing, Extension Educator, will discuss Corn Nitrogen Management after Cover Crops.
