Wapello won four events, Danville had six victories and both teams won the team championship in their divisions at the Warrior Relays, hosted by WACO High School at Wayland Tuesday night.

Wapello won the Class A Division with 166 points. Albia was second at 105 and West Burlington-Notre Dame was third with 102. Louisa-Muscatine (98), Van Buren (77) and Central Lee (14) rounded out the field.

Danville won the Class B title with 135 points and was followed by Sigourney (98) Cardinal (90), Lone Tree (90), Winfield-Mount Union (80) and WACO (79).

Wapello's Keaton Mitchell won the discus with a toss of 146-3 1/2. TJ Dirth won the long jump at 18-11 and Ricky Pforts won the 100-meter dash in 11.71 seconds. The Indians won the 4x800 relay in 9:51.27.

Louisa-Muscatine's Chase Kruse won both of Class A's hurdle events — the 110-meter highs in 16.17 and the 400 lows in 58.63. The Falcons' Sam Kissel won the shot put with a toss of 44 feet, three-quarter inch. Brock Jeamby won the 200 dash in 23.52 and the Louisa-Muscatine sprint medley relay team won in 1:39.69.

West Burlington-Notre Dame picked up three Class A victories — Tanner Snodgrass in high jump (5-10), Reece Richards in the 400 dash (54.60) and the 4x100 relay (45.27.

Van Buren won three Class A events. Jonah Heckenberg won the 800 run in 2:09.54. The Warriors also won the 4x110 shuttle hurdles (1:08.64) and the distance medley (4:01.46).

In Class B, Danville's Ty Carr was a double winner. He captured the win in the 3,200 run (11:01.84) and the 1,600 (4:59.51). The Bears' Mason Chipman won the 400 dash in 54.91 seconds. Danville won three relays — the 4x800 (9:13.15), the distance medley (4:08.32) and the 4x400 (3:48.59).

Host WACO won four events. Colton Horak was a double winner in the 110 hurdles (15.55) and the 400 hurdles (58.07). WACO won the sprint medley relay (1:42.50) and the 4x110 shuttle hurdles (1:07.15).

Winfield-Mount Union won three Class B events. Talon Newton won the high jump at 6-0 and Brandon Snowden won the 100 dash in 11.08 seconds. The Wolves won the 4x200 in 1:35.38.

HOUNDS WIN 5 EVENTS: Burlington High School won three boys events and two girls events in the 70th Annual Don Newell Relays in Ottumwa.

Ottumwa won the boy team title with 114.5 points. Burlington was third at 36.5. Iowa City West won the girls championship with 180 points. Burlington was fifth with 57.

Burlington's Conor Stringer won the boys' 3,200-meter run in 10:32.48 and Taven Harris won the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, eight and one-half inches. The Grayhound 4x400 relay team of Isaac White, Harris, Carlton Martinez-Hale and Mark Smith won in 3:33.48.

Smith finished second in the 100 dash in 11.22 and the BHS 4x200 relay team of Martinez-Hale, Harris, Larry Taylor and Smith finished second in 1:32.05. Martinez-Hale was third in high jump at 5-8 and the Grayhound 4x110 shuttle hurdle relay team of Jackson Carlson, Carlton Martinez-Hale, Carlo Martinez-Hale and Riley Walker were third in 1:11.32.

For the Grayhound girls, Angel Baylark was first in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, one and one-half inch, and third in the 400 dash in 1:04.44. The 4x200 relay team of Madison Bunton, Alize Johnson, Daja Black and Ariana Baylark won in 1:49.93.

Burlington's 4x100 team of Alli Bivens, Bunton, Ariana Baylark and Angel Baylark finished second in 51.73 seconds. The Grayhounds were third in two other relays — the sprint medley team of Bivens, Bunton, Baylark and Baylark and the distance medley team of Marissa Griffith, Alize Johnson, Taylor Blythe and Natalie Thomson.

BOYS TRACK

PANTHERS WIN 4 EVENTS: Mount Pleasant won four events in the Cedar Rapids Jefferson Relays.

Chase Lamm won the 110 hurdles n 15.22 seconds. Cody Mertens won the 3,200 run in 10:20.09. Sam Beatty won the high jump in 6-3 1/4;. Rylan Seberg won the long jump in 21-7.

The Panthers got three second place finishes — Riley McQuiggen in shot put, Jacob Stukerjurgen in the 800 and Zach Beason in discus.

GIRLS TRACK

PARROTT, AILES WIN 3 EVENTS: Danville's Addison Parrott and Keokuk's Miracle Ailes each won three events in the Panther Relays at Mount Pleasant.

Parrott won the Class B 3,000-meter run in 11:20.56, the 800 in 2:36.57 and the 1,500 in 5:16.78. Danville added a victory in the 400 dash with Alyssa Pfadenhauer clocked at 1:01.07.

Ailes won the Class A 100-meter dash in 12.78 seconds, the 200 in 26.15 and the long jump in 16 feet, 8 inches.

Host Mount Pleasant won five events in Class A. Abby Ryon won the 3,000 in 10:49.12. Karsyn Lamm won the 100-meter hurdles in 17.12. Maggie Cristoforo won the 400 hurdles in 1:06.02 and Lexie Magnani put the shot 40 feet, one-half inch for the victory. The Panther distance medley team of Kenna Lamm, Lyndi Vantiger, Cristoforo and Maggie Jennings won that event in 4:24.66.

Cedar Rapids Prairie won the Class A team title with 132 points and Mount Pleasant took second at 107. Pekin won the Class B title with 133.5 points and Danvilled was second at 91.

COX WINS HIGH JUMP: Louisa-Muscatine's Mae Cox won the high jump in the Wildcat Relays at Durant.

Cox cleared four feet, six inches.

BOYS SOCCER

IMS 3, MEDIAPOLIS 1: Iowa Mennonite topped the Bulldogs at Mediapolis.

Drew Zurmuehlen scored the Mediapolis goal on an assist by Nate Hine. Mediapolis (3-5) plays at Wapello Thursday.

HOLY TRINITY 1, CENTRAL LEE 0: Crusaders edged Central Lee at Donnellson.

Blake Moeller had three saves for Central Lee (5-3, 2-1 SEISC), which plays a non-conference Thursday at Mount Pleasant.

GIRLS SOCCER

PLEASANT VALLEY 4, BURLINGTON 0: Jayne Abraham scored two goals to lead the Spartans past Burlington in a Mississippi Athletic Conference match at Bettendorf.

Allie Simpson and Adelaide Wolfe each added a goal for Pleasant Valley, which outshot the Grayhounds 23-1 on goal.

Pleasant Valley improved to 4-2 (2-1 MAC). Burlington is 0-4 (0-4).

PREP SOFTBALL

ABINGDON-AVON 2, WEST CENTRAL 1: Maleaha Nagel hit two doubles and Tori Adolphson added two singles to lead the Tornadoes past West Central.

Emily Johnson singled and doubled in three trips for West Central and McKenzy Ludington had two singles in two at bats. Megan McIntire drove the Heat's run home. Reagan Spence was the losing pitcher, surrendering one earned run on five hits and no walks in six and one-third innings. She struck out 10.

WEST HANCOCK 6, MACOMB 5: The Titans trailed 5-0, then scored all of their runs in the fourth inning and held on for the win.

Anna Walker led West Hancock with a single, double, a run and three RBIs in three trips to the plate. Emma Casey drove in two runs and Brenna Lamm had one RBI. Megan Fox was the winning pitcher. None of Macomb's runs were earned.

HOLY TRINITY 10, CENTRAL LEE 0: Claire Pothitakis had four goals and two assists to lead the Crusaders to a SEI Superconference win over Central Lee at Donnellson.

Elle Rashid added two goals and an assist. Taylor Crabtree, Taylor Boeding, Katie Scoville, Mya Lawlor and Elyse Pothitakis each had one goal. Elyse Pothitakis had two assists and Boeding had one.

Holy Trinity hosts No. 11 (Class 2A) Mount Pleasant at South Park in West Point Thursday.

WOLVES 5TH AT DURANT: Winfield-Mount Union's boys finished fifth in the Durant Invitational. The Wolves had 338 strokes. Columbus finished eighth at 393 and Louisa-Muscatine was 10th at 447.

West Branch won the team title with 315 strokes.

Holy Trinity's Josh Barr was the boys medalist with a 40. Other Crusaders were Mason Holvoet (46), Kyle  Bredemeyer (45), Trevor Mohrfeld (53), Brandon Delaney (53) and Brant Holtkamp (63). Walker Bolander led Wapello with a 50. Also playing for Wapello were Bryar Murray (75), Drake Timmerman (64) and Brandon McIntyre (79).

Holy Trinity's Ali Robu was the girls medalist with a 46. Playing for Wapello were Jordan Caudle (59), Alex Caudle (80), Riley Gerst (69), Trinity Warnstaff (70), Charlie Shafer (71) and Cassy Esparga (60).

MOUNT PLEASANT 160, KEOKUK 197: Mount Pleaant's Trace White and Bailey Shelledy shared medalist honors with 39s and the Panthers topped Keokuk.

Also for Mount Pleasant, Jake Moffett carded a 40 and was followed by Brevin Wilson (42), Rhett Zeglen (44) and Reece Kempker (50).

For Keokuk, it was Alex Wolter (42), Zach Meyers (49), Nathan Koeber (53), Jordan Sisk (53), Nick Profetta (55) and Luke Davis (58).

BOYS TENNIS

FORT MADISON 7, FAIRFIELD 2: The Bloodhounds won the top four singles matches and all three doubles matches in a dual at Fairfield.

For Fort Madison in singles, Sam Avery blanked AJ Greiner, 6-0, 6-0; Jason Thurman beat Noel Peterson, 6-4, 6-1; Vasin Thurman topped Will Shepherd, 6-2, 6-3; and Reed Fehseke defeated Blake Holden, 6-4, 6-3. In doubles, Thurman and Thurman beat Greiner and Sheppard, 6-1, 6-0; Avery and Fehseke topped Peterson and Holden, 6-3, 6-3; and Bryce Workman and Levi Sissel defeated Dylan Barras and Sam Mattson, 6-3, 6-4.

Fort Madison (5-0) plays Burlington at Dankwardt Park Thursday.

BURLINGTON 6, KEOKUK 3: They Grayhounds won four singles matches and two in doubles to top the Chiefs at Keokuk.

Burlington's singles winners were: Makaylin Powers, 6-2, 1-6, 10-4 over Emma Evans at No. 2; Courtney Parton, 6-2, 6-3 over Kierra Huddleston at No. 3; Emily Woodsmall, 6-2, 6-2 over Julia deGala at No. 4; and Hannah Hentzel, 6-0, 6-1 over Willow Carrington, at No. 6. The Grayhound doubles wins came from Alyssa Dameron and Woodsmall over Huddleston and Delaynee Billings, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 2 and Hentzel and Adessa Brandenburg, 6-0, 6-0 over Carrington and Lucy Deacon at No. 3.

Keokuk's Keleigh Hall beat Dameron, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles and Billings topped Burlington's Grace Hecox, 7-5, 6-4, at No. 5. Keokuk's No. 1 doubles team of Hall and Evans beat Powers and Parton, 7-5, 6-3.

NO. 10 ND-WB/D 2, HOLY TRINITY 1: Izzy Hase and Kassidy Rashid scored the goals to carry 10th-ranked (Class 2A) Notre Dame-West Burlington/Danville past Holy Trinity in a SEI Superconference match at West Point.

Addison Parrott and Taylor Ackerman each had an assist for the Nikes. Elani Mears had five saves.

ND-WB/D (5-1) host Quincy Notre Dame Monday at Tackleson Field.

PREP TRACK

AILES WINS 4 EVENTS: Keokuk's Miracle Ailes won four events and Van Buren and Fort Madison won the team titles in the Hawk and Lady Hawk Invitational hosted by Central Lee High School at Donnellson.

Van Buren won the girls team title with 111 point, five points better than runner-up Central Lee. Danville and Keokuk tied for third with 87 points each and were followed by West Hancock (81), Cardinal (58), Iowa Mennonite (29) and Columbus (18).

Fort Madison won the boys title with 129 points and Keokuk took second with 95. New London was third with 93 points and was followed by Cardinal (88), West Hancock (74), Central Lee (51), Columbus (29) and Iowa Mennonite (14).

Ailes won the high jump at 5-4, the long jump (17-0), 100-meter dash (12.75) and the 200 dash (26.15).

Alyssa Pfadenhauer had two of Danville's five event victories. She won the 400 dash in 1:01.75 and the 800 run in 2:31.12. Ashley Pfadenhauer won the shot put with a toss of 34 feet, 5 inches and Allison Dowd won the 100-meter hurdles in 17.84 seconds. Danville won the sprint medley relay in 1:59.02.

Van Buren also won five events, four of them relays — the 4x800 in 11:05.99, the shuttle hurdles in 1:17.60, the 4x200 in 1:57.87 and the 4x100 in 53.12 seconds. The Warriors' Audrey Smith won the 1,500 in 5:49.98.

Central Lee won three girls events. Emily Fuller won the discus with a toss of 106-0. Amanda Gilpin won trhe 3,000-meter run in 13:03.19. Alivia Myhre won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:19.57.

West Hancock won the distance medley in 4:39.92 and the 4x400 in 4:23.09.

In the boys meet, Fort Madison and Keokuk each won five events. Fort Madison's Ethan Deacon won the shot put (41-3 1/4), Quentin Schneider won the 400 dash (53.28) and the 400 hurdles (57.89) and Matt Hellige won the 1,600 in 4:37.43. The Bloodhounds won the 4x400 in 3:37.10.

Keokuk's Tyjai Mueller won the high jump at 6-0 and Braylon Martinez won the 100 dash in 11.64 seconds. The Chiefs also won the sprint medley in 1:41.61, the 4x200 in 1:34.40 and the 4x100 in 45.35.

New London's Carter Allen won the discus with a throw of 129-3 and the Tigers won the distance medley in 3:53.77. West Hancock's Miles Sheppard won the 3,200 run in 10:05.00 and the Titans won the 4x800 in 8:56.46. Will Schwab of Columbus won the 800 in 2:11.98.
