The Pioneer wrestling team took on Beatrice in dual competition on Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Nebraska City High School, with the visiting Orangemen winning by the final of 51-27.
“I told the guys we are good enough to score 30 points on anyone in the state, but we are giving up too many bonus points,” Coach Tyler Hodges said.
‘Until we fix that, we are just going to be an average dual team.  We will continue to get better and work on the finer things.”
In the 160 pound division, Jordan Moyer defeated fourth ranked, Brody Nelson, (Dec 7-2).
Josh DeLunger who wrestled at 132 defeated Steven Powers (Fall 1:16).
During the 120 pound category, Jorge Loarca took down Mario Bukovnik (Fall 1:40).
The Pioneers ended the night on a good note when Hayden Schalk won by fall against Bryce Karlin (3:39).
