The Peru State football team, 2-3, will look to extend its winning streak to three in a row on Saturday in the Oak Bowl when the Bobcats clash with Baker University for homecoming. Kick off is set for 2 p.m.

After opening the season with losses at Hastings College, 25-21, and at Central Methodist, 42-21, the Bobcats dropped a home decision to Evangel University, 35-13. Since then, the Bobcats have taken wins at home, against Missouri Valley, 24-14, and MidAmerica Nazarene, 24-19.

The Peru State offense has been led by running back Tajh Eaddy and quarterback Daniel Boshart. Eaddy has rushed for 328 yards and three scores this year, while Boshart has 217 rush yards and 369 passing yards. Colton Audsley is the Bobcats leading receiver with 137 yards.

Tackle leaders are Luis Constantino, Travis Reed, Langdon Douglas and Tommy Hope.

The Bobcats are averaging 346.4 yards per game (1,021 total rushing and 531 total passing) with nine total touchdowns rushing and three passing. Opponents are averaging 366 yards per game (860 total rushing and 970 total passing) with eight total touchdowns rushing and 11 passing.

Baker enters Saturday’s game with a 3-2 record that includes wins by impressive scores. The Bobcats beat William Penn University 30-7 in the season opener, dropped a 39-17 decision to No. 10 Grand View University and battled back with wins of 51-10, against Culver-Stockton, and 70-14, against Graceland University. Baker is coming off a 23-12 loss to No. 16 Benedictine College.
