Nebraska City girls golf were in dual action on Thursday, August 30 against Gretna, where the Pioneers won 218-222, as Lauren Gowing shot a team low of 52.

This was the Pioneers first dual of the season and they were able to win this contest at the Wildwood Golf Course.

Scores: Sydney Blum, 53; Brynn Bohlen, 55; Taelyn Allen, 58; Natalie Turner, 62.  On the JV side, Gabby Chance finished with a 65.

Thursday, September 6.  Bay Hills Golf Course Tournament.

The Pioneers placed fourth out of 13 teams that competed.
Nebraska City shot a team score of 431.  Blair won the event with a card of 449.

Brynn Bohlen and Sydney Blum picked up medals for the Pioneers.  Bohlen shot a team low 105, and finished seventh.  Blum placed 15th with a 112 card.
With all the rain, Kinnison said that the course played tougher than normal.  

Lauren Gowing was a few strokes off from earning a medal.  “Lauren Gowing is playing a lot better for us this year,” Kinnison said.

Taelyn Allen and Natalie Turner both carded 119.

Nebraska City will be at the River Wilds Golf Club on September 10, starting at 9 a.m.
