Nebraska City ended its tennis season on Thursday Oct. 12 in state competition at Lincoln as Logan and Langston Hoover won their first round match but lost in the second round.
In Class B No.1 singles, Logan Hoover defeated Nate Mackel of Omaha Gross Catholic 6-2 and 6-3 to advance to the second round.  Logan lost to Carson Hamik of Grand Island Central Catholic 6-4 and 6-3.
Langston Hoover contested James Overcamp of Ralston in No. 2 singles and won 3-6, 6-1 and 6-2.  Langston was defeated by Smaran Marupudi of Elkhorn South 6-1, 6-1.
In No. 1 doubles, Josh Martens and Keith Whitehead lost their first round match up against York’s Bradyn Heiss and Hunter Royal 6-1 and 6-0.
Sam Williams and Fadi Dia teamed up in No. 2 doubles to take on Graden Johnson and William Neinast of Holdrege and lost 6-2 and 6-0.
