Ronald Earl Stocking passed away quietly to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln at the age of 79 years.

Ron was born February 26, 1943, in Denver, Colorado to Florence and Earl Stocking. His younger years were spent living in Missouri with 2 sisters and one brother. Ron married Ruth Forsberg on February 5, 1977. A

Ron married Ruth Forsberg on February 5, 1977. A daughter Ronda was born to them. Ruth had five other girls by a previous marriage. They lived in Colorado and Nebraska.

Ron was known as the cowboy man as we wore hats and boots all the time. He trained and broke horses and drove truck long haul for many years. In younger years he rodeoed and raced cars.

Ron and Ruth are members of the Nebraska City Church of Christ where they have many good Christian friends. He was a people person and never knew a stranger.

Left at home is his wife, Ruth. The six daughters & families scattered all over. Sheila & husband in Colorado, Shari in Wisconsin, Donna in Washington, Denise & husband in Washington, Renae & husband in Iowa, and Ronda & husband in California. Brother Jim (Wanda) Stocking in Ozark, MO, brother-in-law LeRoy Tade in Tomball, TX and sister Delores (Sam) Pursley in Stuart, FL.

Ron was preceded by his parents and sister Helen Tade.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 10 at 2 p.m. at the Nebraska City Church of Christ. The service will be livestreamed on the church Youtube page.

Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska City Church of Christ.
