Pioneer golf hosts inaugural JV event

Nebraska City recently hosted its inaugural JV boys’ golf tournament.

Coach Brian Johnson said the goal of the tournament is to get more Pioneer golfers experience in 18-hole events.

A team championship was given out at the event along with medals for the top 10 shooters.

Team scores were 1. Norris, 360; 2. Beatrice, 371; 3. Auburn, 426; 4. Nebraska City A, 459; 5. Nebraska City B, 501; 6. Ralston, 567; and 7. Louisville, 573.

Jarett Guenther of Norris was the Invite champ with scores of 46 and 39 for 85.

Nebraska City A scores were Hudson Rutt, 53-54, 107; Mitchell Hodges, 54-54, 108; Dane Lyons, 61-60, 121; Colton Cook, 65-58-123; and Jayden Odom, 60-63, 123.

Nebraska City B scores were Jagar Matson, 57-59, 116; Beaux Bender, 65-58, 123; Jack Ebmeier, 62-66, 128; Oscar Krog, 65-69, 134; and Timmy Stanek, 82-82, 164.
