The Peru State College football team will look to bounce back from a 26-7 loss to unbeaten and No. 2 ranked Grand View when it goes on the road for a regular season finale against St. Ambrose University at Davenport, Iowa, for a 1 p.m. start on Saturday, Nov. 16.

A win against St. Ambrose would push the Bobcats’ 2024 regular season record to 7-3 and would be the fourth win in their last five outings.

St. Ambrose is 3-7 overall but is coming off a 50-22 win over at Clarke, a squad that Peru State beat 34-9 back on Sept. 28.

Looking back at the Grand View game, Peru State scored the first touchdown of the contest on an 18-yard pass from Colin Shiels to Gio Contreras with a Gus Bashore point after kick at the 9:24 mark.

Grand View drew to within one point with an 11-yard touchdown pass at the 14:54 mark of the second quarter and took a 16-7 lead to the halftime before winning the second half 10-0.

The final numbers had Grand View with 251 yards of total offense including 130 through the air and 121 on the ground compared to 250 total with 196 through the air and 54 on the ground attack.

Grand View won the turnover battle with Peru State throwing two interceptions and having one fumble compared to just one fumble.
