The Otoe County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday, July 29, and took the following actions:
Approved a subdivision plat of Finquest Holdings LLC Subdivision, a 5.24-acre tract located at 5123 I Rd.;
Approved Otoe County opting in to a Purdue Pharma LP and Sackler Family Opioid Settlement;
Heard annual reports from Apace Director Matt Kasik and Region V Systems Regional Administrator Patrick Kreifels;
Heard a quarterly report from Jillian Garcia of Project Response;
Heard an update from Nebraska Association of Counties (NACO) Legal Counsel Elaine Menzel;
Approved a lease agreement between the Nebraska City Center for Children and Families and Otoe County to lease office space at the center for the Otoe County Juvenile Diversion Program; and
Approved a memorandum of understanding between Otoe County and the state of Nebraska that would allow the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office to use the statewide automated license plate reader system.
The meeting concluded with the commissioners making a quarterly visit to the Otoe County Detention Center.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Otoe County Board of Commissioners is set for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Otoe County Courthouse.
