Delmer E. Shaw, age 56

Delmer E. Shaw, age 56 of Talmage, passed away on Jan. 14, 2021, at Prestige Care Center in Nebraska City after a valiant battle with cancer.

Delmer Eugene Shaw was born on Feb. 15, 1964, in Enid, Okla.; the son of Walter and Alice (Wyatt) Shaw.

He worked at Sapp Brothers Truck Stop near Percival where he was an Assistant Shop Manager since 2012.  

Prior to his work there, he did various construction projects.

Those left to cherish his memory include his life partner and companion Kelsey D. Burns of Talmage; children:  Brooke Burns, Brianna Burns and Timothy Shaw all of the home; sisters:  Janet Weisbrook of Craig, Judy Ivy of Sweet Home, Ore., and Martha Haines of Georgia; other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harry Shaw and sister Mary Bainbridge.

A Memorial Service was to be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor Keith Hunt of First Baptist Church officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the family in his memory. Remembrances may be left at www.gudefuneralhomes.com.

Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City is in charge of arrangements.

The service will be Live Streamed on the Gude Funeral Homes Facebook Page.
