William "Bill" Earl Abernathy, Jr.

Papillion - William "Bill" Earl Abernathy, Jr., age 94 of Papillion, formerly of Nebraska City, died January 6, 2021 at Hillcrest Country Estates in Papillion. Bill was an educator and Assistant Principal at Nebraska City High School for many years prior to his retirement. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, LaVonda of Papillion; children, Linda (Paul) Perez of LaVista, Scott (Jamie) Abernathy of Covington, WA and Terri (Dick) Clyde of Papillion; many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Bill's life is planned for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church, 1023 First Avenue in Nebraska City. Lunch will be served. All are welcome. Private graveside services were held in January.
