Glen D. Davidson, 86, of Syracuse, passed away on Sept. 28, 2019, at the hospital in Syracuse. He was born near Blue Hill on Jan. 20, 1933, to Ellis and Delma (Meyer) Davidson.
Glen married Arlene Faulhaber and to this union five children were born. After they divorced, he married Brenda Schultze. She passed away in 2008. On Sept. 22, 2013, he married Sharon (Tews) Schultz.
He started working as a farmer and later started Davidson Insurance and Real Estate. He also was owner of the Nut Cracker in Syracuse. Glen was active in the community serving as a Boy Scout Leader, member of the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and was a charter member of the Syracuse rescue squad which he served on for 23 years.
He was a Co-Op Board Member, City Councilman and belonged to the Methodist and Lutheran Churches in Syracuse.
Glen enjoyed being a pilot and could be seen buzzing farmsteads. He also enjoyed doing photography, taking trips and watching Big Joe Polka, Lawrence Welk, Laurel & Hardy and the Three Stooges.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon Schultz Davidson; children: Vicki (Chuck) Quillen, Daniel Davidson, Christine Kreifels, Kurt (Maxine) Davidson; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; step children: Brian Schultz, Leslie Schultz; two step grandchildren; and Brother; Loren (Valda) Davidson.
Glen was preceded in death by his Parents, first wife: Arlene, second wife: Brenda, son: William Ellis Davidson, great granddaughter: Alex Jeffers, siblings: Darryl Davidson, Phyllis Dunlap and Orville Davidson and son-in-law: Buddy Kreifels.
Memorial services will be Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse.
