Cody L. Kreifels, age 23, of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019.
Cody Lee Kreifels was born on Aug. 21, 1995, at Eglin Air Force Base near Valparaiso, Fla.; the son of Lance Carl and Julie Ayn (Wigington) Kreifels.  
Cody was home schooled through the 8th Grade and then in 9th Grade started at Johnson-Brock High School where he graduated with the class of 2014.
 He worked at Gartner Transport in Tecumseh, for the last three years, where he was a forklift operator and did minor maintenance.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son Aaden Lee Kreifels of the home; parents Lance and Julie Kreifels of Auburn; siblings:  Celestine Kreifels of Ann Arbor, Mich., Caleb Kreifels of Auburn, Claire Kreifels of Auburn, and Cade Kreifels of Auburn; maternal grandparents Tom and Kathy Wigington of Nebraska City; paternal grandparents Melvin and Lila Kreifels of Nebraska City; aunts and uncles:  Tom Wigington (Sarah) of St. Louis, Mo., Aaron Wigington (Jessica) of Kansas City, Mo., Rebecca Rezac (Matt) of Lincoln, Nathan Wigington (Mary) of Nebraska City, Adam Wigington (fiance Christine) of Mountain View, Calif., Matthew Wigington (Ehlaura) of Seattle, Wash., Mitch Kreifels of Denver, Colo., Scott Kreifels (Lori) of Nebraska City, and Wayne Kreifels (Brenda) of Nebraska City; numerous cousins, other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nebraska City. Burial was to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nebraska City.
A Rosary was to be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening (7/25) at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.
Memorials may be directed to a college fund being established for Aaden’s education. Condolences may be left at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City is in charge of arrangements.
