Richard “Rich” Ted Norris, age 84, of Lincoln, formerly of Avoca died Feb. 27, 2019, at Bryan LGH Hospital in Lincoln.  
Rich was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Avoca, the son of Ernest Theodore and Eleanor Alene (Crownover) Norris.  
He married Eileen Urwin Sept. 13, 1953, in Louisville.  
Rich lived and farmed in the Avoca area his entire life until he retired in Lincoln five years ago.  
He had formerly served on the Nehawka School Board and was a member of the Nehawka United Methodist Church and Nebraska City Elks Lodge No. 1049.  
Rich enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with his family.  
He had a love for his dogs and livestock.  
Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Lincoln; sons, Steven Norris and wife Mary of Omaha; David Norris of Lincoln and Scott Norris of Broken Bow; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.  
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arthur Norris.
Memorial services was to be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 4, at the Nehawka United Methodist Church in Nehawka. Inurnment was to follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Nehawka.
Visitations with family was to be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Nehawka United Methodist Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Nehawka United Methodist Church or Avoca Town Hall.
