LeRoy Richard Bottcher, age 77, passed away on Jan. 11, 2019, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo., after a short illness. He was surrounded by family.
LeRoy was born on Nov. 10, 1941, in Syracuse, son of Clarence and Edna (Bluhm) Bottcher.
He lived southeast of Syracuse and farmed family land until his retirement when he moved to Cape Fair, Mo.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and going in to town for coffee.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edna Bottcher.
He is survived by his sister Jana Lee Brooks of Hartford, Conn., daughter Renee Mangano (Frank) LaVista, son Timothy Bottcher of Nebraska City, son Travis Bottcher and son James Bottcher both of Beatrice, and daughter Kelly Maldonado (Gabriel)  Buckner, Mo.  LeRoy has nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of LeRoy’s life will be determined at a later date.
