LaVonne Lydia Grundman, age 87 of Nebraska City died June 25, 2018, at The Ambassador Care Center in Nebraska City.  
LaVonne was born July 14, 1930, in Nebraska City, the daughter of Henry August and Leona Sophie Henrietta (Brammeier) Landwehr.  
She married Donald Carl Grundman Aug. 25, 1950 in Talmage.  
LaVonne grew up in Lorton and graduated from Talmage High School in 1947.  
She worked as a teller at Arbor Bank for many years and she was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Nebraska City.  
LaVonne loved gardening, sewing, playing cards and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include her husband Donald of Nebraska City; daughters, Lou Ann Murphy and husband Elvin of St. Joseph, Mo.; Cynthia Grundman of Nebraska City; grandson, Matthew Murphy and wife Amy; great grandchild, Alexa Murphy; brother in law, Aldean Grundman of Berryville, Ark.; sisters in law, Alene Landwehr of Lorton and Kathleen Landwehr of Palmyra; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dean Landwehr and Don Landwehr and infant sister, Janis.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Bethel United Church of Christ in Nebraska City with burial in Wyuka Cemetery.
Visitations will be 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Bethel United Church of Christ.
