Debra L. Ervin, age 56 of Nebraska City passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Debra was born on March 28, 1962, in Nebraska City; the daughter of William Edwin and Bernice Elaine (Ottens) Weston.  She attended school in Nebraska City.
On March 31, 1978, she was united in marriage to Kevin Lee Ervin in Nebraska City and to this union a son was born:  Kevin Lee Ervin II.
Debra worked at many different professions over the years including as a waitress for various restaurants in Nebraska City.  She also worked at the Nebraska City Public Schools Hot Lunch Program and as a Medical Aid at Morton Place.  
Most recently, she worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Lincoln; primarily in the Cheney Ridge Post Office.
She was a member of the American Postal Workers Union (A.P.W.U.).
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kevin Ervin of Nebraska City; son Kevin Ervin II of Nebraska City; sisters:  Janice McLaughlin of Nebraska City; Joyce Siddall and husband Scott of Cook and Kathy Stuck and husband Donald of Nebraska City; numerous nieces and nephews including Debra Lukehart of the home; other family and many friends.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters:  Marilyn Homan, Marcia Lukehart and Sharon Thompson.
A Memorial Service was to be held Friday at 11 a.m. (5/18) at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.
Pastor David Sohl will officiate at the services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Wyuka Cemetery.
Remembrances may be left at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City is in charge of funeral arrangements.
