Stanley H. Boldt, 73 of Otoe, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, in Syracuse. He was born in Lincoln to Harold and Mary (Corzine) Boldt on March 24, 1944, and grew up in Douglas.
Stan married Bonnie Schutz on July 23, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe. He served in the National Guard for 29 years and also ran a small engine repair shop.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 100 for 45 years, Otoe school board, town board and OVFD. He was also currently serving on the St. John’s church council.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons, David (Teresa) Boldt, Craig (Peggy) Boldt, Adam Boldt and special friend Jessy; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers: Milton Boldt, Doug (MaryAnn) Boldt; sister: Marlene (Doug) Denison; sisters-in-law: Sharon Boldt, Roberta Boldt, Janet Erisman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Dale and Patricia Alber; also many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Arnold Boldt and Gary Boldt.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe. Burial will be at the Otoe cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Syracuse.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the family’s choice.
