Unadilla Fire and Rescue held a Pancake Feed October 27 with the “Pancake Man” as the head chef.  The Pancake Man flipped pancakes all the way across the fire and rescue building with incredible aim to land on the plates of community members as they lined up for their breakfast.
The volunteers served 165 people from 8a.m. to noon.  Chief Steve Vodicka said it was the largest turnout in at least the last five or six years.  “It was a real good turnout with real good donations.  We thank everyone so much for their support,” he said.
They have recently purchased equipment for fire and rescue, and the funds collected at the pancake feed will be used to build the equipment fund back up and purchase general fire  equipment as needed.
