ARC of Otoe County hosted an Open House at Hidden Falls Events Center to celebrate the organization’s 60-plus years of service to those with developmental disabilities and their families. A group of parents who were dissatisfied with society’s options for their children opened a school with seven students in the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building in 1958. Today, ARC of Otoe County sponsors two monthly bowling groups, seasonal dances, outing, picnics, parties, and other activities. The organization also owns the workshop at 808 8th Corso and two homes that it rents to Region V Services.
