The Morton-James Public Library and Nebraska Extension will host “Maker Mondays” beginning Oct. 21 at the library, 923 1st Corso.
The events will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. Here is the preliminary schedule:
An overview of the Library Innovation Studios Makerspace will be presented on Monday, Oct. 21.
“Making Money Out of Making” will be presented on Oct. 28. Rex Nelson from Nebraska Extension will discuss pricing strategies for those who want to sell their items.
The presentation will be followed by a Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce Business After Hours event at 5 p.m.
“Lego Mindstorms EV3” will be presented on Nov. 4.
“The Bernette Embroidery Machine” will be discussed on Nov. 18
“Making Money Out of Making” will be presented again on Nov. 25.
“3D Modeling” will be discussed on Dec. 2.
Additional dates will be announced.
The Library Innovation Studios Makerspace will be located in the Kimmel Gallery on the library’s lower level through March 2020.

The Kimmel Gallery will contain both station and mobile equipment.
Station equipment will be a Makerbot Replicator+ 3D Printer; a Universal Laser Cutter; a Graphtec CE600-60 Vinyl Cutter; aCarvey Inventables CNC Router; a Bernette Embroidery Machine from Bernina; and an EnduraPRESS Heat Press and Epson WF 3260 Printers.
Mobile equipment will be a Lego Mindstorms EV3 Kit; a Laminator Kit; an Arduino Starter Kit; a SparkFun Inventor’s Kit; a Makey Makey Kit; a Camera and Video Creator Kit; an Audio/Music Kit; and a Button Maker Kit.
