Two proclamations and a swearing-in ceremony top the agenda for Monday's Nebraska City City Council meeting.
Mayor Bryan Bequette is set to proclaim Oct. 6 to 12 both Fire Prevention Week, and Public Power and Public Natural Gas Week. Todd Meadows is set to be sworn in as an officer of the Nebraska City Police Department.
Council members will consider a request from the Nebraska City Baseball Association to build a new concession stand at Clemmy Holmes Field using donated funds, as well as a request from the Nebraska City Softball Association to apply for $80,000 in grants for improvements to Field 3 at the Softball Complex.
The council will discuss Charlie White's water run-off and drainage concern claim during the meeting.
The meeting is set to start at 6 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Bill Davis Room of City Hall, 1409 Central Ave.
