Lt. Gov. Mike Foley has been invited to take part in a ribbon cutting at the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building.
The event, which is set to start at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, will be part of an open house that will celebrate the new Pella windows and doors that have been installed in the building.
Representatives from the Pella Corporation, the City of Nebraska City, and the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building Project are expected to take part in the event.
Funding for the window and door replacment project was made possible by a grant from the Paul, John, Anton, and Doris Wirth Foundation.
The Nebraska City chapter of Blue Star Mothers will sponsor a reception and serve patriotic refreshments. The public is invited to attend.
