The Nebraska City City Council will hear a request for $92,000 in Nebraska City Growth Funds to renovate 823 Central Ave. at its next meeting.

Council members will discuss a contract for Civic and Community Center Financing Funding with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for exterior renovations to the Morton-James Public Library. They will discuss a request to renovate the EMS house kitchen, and they will discuss a professional services agreement with 10 Men Roofing to replace the Recreation Department roof.

The council will also consider an agreement with Brandt, Horan, Hallstrom and Stilmock for interim legal services, as well as an architecture agreement with Leo A Daly for services relating to the Americans with Disabilities Act improvements planned at the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building.

Also on the agenda are the swearing in of Nebraska City Police Officer Casey Fertig and the promotion of Jason Holman to police sergeant.

The meeting is set to start at 6 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the Bill Davis Room of City Hall, 1409 Central Ave.
