Nebraska City will begin searching for a full-time city attorney to replace outgoing City Attorney David Partsch.
The Nebraska City City Council held a special meeting Thursday, April 25, to discuss options, which included hiring a firm to represent the city, hiring a part-time city attorney, or hiring a full-time city attorney.
The city is in the process of forming a search team to head up the hiring process.
Partsch’s last day as city attorney will be April 30. He will begin his new duties as judge for the County Court of the Second Judicial District May 1.
The Second Judicial District includes Cass, Otoe and Sarpy counties.
