The churches of Nebraska City have opened their doors and their parish halls to those affected by the floods.
Tonight (March 21) Bethel UCC, 2400 Central Ave., will serve a spaghetti supper starting at 6 p.m.
Friday, March 22, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 218 N. 6th St., and the Knights of Columbus will host a fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m.
Sunday, March 24, Calvary Community Church, 273 S. 63rd Rd., will serve a meal starting at 6 p.m.
Monday, March 25, the First Christian Church, 114 S. 8th St., will serve sloppy joes, potato salad, chips and cookies/bars starting at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, March 26, the First Presbyterian Church, 1005 1st Corso, will serve a meal at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, March 27, the First United Methodist Church, 1024 1st Ave., will serve a meal starting at 5:15 p.m.
Flood relief supplies, such as food, clothing, personal care items, and cleaning kits, are available at the Nebraska City Church of Christ, 1102 S. 10th St.
