The Nebraska City City Council will host a public hearing on the proposed temporary installation of soccer and ball fields on property slated for future expansion of Wyuka Cemetery at its Monday, March 18, meeting.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Rowe Memorial Public Safety Complex, 1518 Central Ave.
Other items on the agenda include
Discussion/action regarding the use of $22,938 in insurance claim funds for repairs to the roof of the Nebraska City Veteran's Memorial Building from a June 2018 hailstorm;
Discussion/action to use the Nebraska City Veteran's Memorial Building for a ceremony from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 29, honoring the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War and Vietnam Veterans' Day;
Discussion/action to approve the special conditions pursuant to the Community Development Block Grant contract including purchase-rehab-resell guidelines and authorize Mayor Bryan Bequette to sign; and
Proclamations for Natural Gas Utility Workers Day on March 18 and Vietnam War Veterans' Day on March 29.
