Return to the Wayne State College campus for an action-packed day of music making and socialization during the Music Alumni Day celebration Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 in the Peterson Fine Arts Center. The daylong event includes opportunities to perform in band and choir, catch up with classmates, and connect with current and former faculty members.
The day kicks off with registration, followed by band and choir rehearsals, a lunch/social, a campus tour, and additional rehearsals. At 4:30 p.m. the WSC Concert Choir, WSC Wind Ensemble, Alumni Band, and Alumni Choir present a concert in Ramsey Theatre. The performance is free and open to the public. A reception closes the day’s festivities at 5:30 p.m. in the Peterson Fine Arts Atrium.
All WSC music ensemble alumni are encouraged to register for this occasion to reminisce with music friends and faculty. To register, visitwww.wsc.edu/music and find Music Alumni Day. A $25 event fee covers the cost of lunch, refreshments, and sheet music. The deadline to RSVP is Feb. 16, 2019.
You can also join our Facebook group at Wayne State College Music Alumni. Posts include event updates as well as a list of alumni and former faculty members planning to attend. Email pictures of your student years at WSC to Melissa Derechailo at firstname.lastname@example.org for inclusion in the alumni photo collage.
