The seventh annual Syracuse Chili Cookoff was held at B&J’s Jan. 19.  Each year, funds are designated for a community project. According to organizer Party Buchholz, the event raised over $600 for the Syracuse Bath House and around 100 people attended the event. There were 12 entries of chili. Judges Troy Whitehead, Katy Biehl, Kristi Skiles, Sheila Shramek, Josh Medeiros and Larissa Riekman sampled the chili and voted for their favorites. Daylight Donuts donated cinnamon rolls. Any Graham and Liza Masters made cornbread. The top three winners are pictured with their certificates. From left are event organizer Patty Buchholz, Anthony Hensley (1st place), Dan Masters (2nd place) and Katy Biehl (3rd place).
