Alumni Basketball
For the third year in a row, the Peru State Foundation, along with the College’s basketball teams, are hosting their annual basketball alumni event.The event will be held this Saturday, Jan. 12, when the Bobcats host Clarke (Iowa) in a double header beginning at noon in the Al Wheeler Activity Center.
“All basketball alumni and coaches have been invited to attend,” noted Deborah Solie, Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Fund. Solie continued, “Over 100 have RSVP’d at this point so this will be the largest attendance to date for the reunion.”
Two special recognitions will occur between games. Both the 1992-93 women’s and men’s teams competed in their respective national tournaments. The two teams, along with the men’s coach John Gibbs, will receive special recognition.
Solie added, “All basketball alumni will also be recognized between the two games which will be at approximately 1:45 p.m.”
Bobcat men’s basketball coach Bob Ludwig commented, “Our team is looking forward to meeting some of the past players, especially the team members who competed in the national tournament. This is a great opportunity for our team to learn what it takes to compete at the top level.”
Admission prices for the event are adults - $8, seniors (65 and older) - $7, and students (ages 7-17) - $5. Children six and under are allowed in free.

Football Banquet
The annual Peru State Football Booster Club Awards banquet will be held Sunday, Jan. 20, in the College’s Student Center beginning at 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend this event.
The booster club has been hosting the banquet for many years to recognize the accomplishments of the student-athletes on the Bobcat football team.
The meal will begin at 4 p.m. with a variety of awards handed out following the meal.
