The Missouri RIver levels have continued to rise during this last week of June with waters reaching near 23 feet as of Thursday morning (6-28). According to the National Weather Service, the water will crest just over 23 feet by Thursday and into Friday before receding back toward 20 feed by the Monday and Tuesday.

Action stage for flooding on the Missouri River at Nebraska City is 16 feet with minor flooding beginning at 18 feet. The flooding is classified as moderate at 23 feet and has the potential of threatening Highway 2 travel.
