Otoe County 4-H members were honored for their outstanding work in child development, photography, horticulture, electricity, rockets, and ag miscellaneous entries.  
The awards were presented on Saturday, July 30, at the Kimmel Events Center.
Following are the awards, the recipients, a description of their winning entries and the donors:
Champion Child Development Exhibit:  Nima Faunce, babysitting kit, $20 sponsored by Syracuse Snoflakers.        
Champion Photography Beginner Exhibit: Daisa Smidt, display showcasing 3 trick photos, $20 sponsored by Scheer Anesthesia Services LLC of Cook.
Champion Photography Intermediate Exhibit:  Genna Bennett, black and white picture of a vintage camera, $20 sponsored by True Photography and Studio of Syracuse.
Reserve Champion Advanced Photography Exhibit: Keianna Bahr, birdhouse in a corn field, $20 sponsored by Easter & Associates, Inc. of Nebraska City and Syracuse.
Champion Photography Advanced Exhibit: Carlie Kosiba, photography portfolio of 10 portraits, $20 sponsored by Lasting Impressions of Syracuse.
Best Dressed Ear of Corn:  First Place, Bailey Boitnott, $12.50; Second Place,  Mavryc Morgan, $7.50; and Third Place, Nolan Beccard, $5.  All prizes were given by an anonymous donor.
Reserve Champion Garden Exhibit: Vanessa Knutson, 12 cherry tomatoes,  $20 sponsored by the Little Nemaha 4-H Club, Palmyra.
Champion Garden Exhibit: Kayla Arnold,  five jalapeno peppers, $20 gift certificate sponsored by Mercer’s Do It Best of Nebraska City.   
Top Horticulture Exhibit: Kayla Arnold, pint of blackberries, $20 cash in memory of Rosina Leefers.
Champion Electric Exhibit: Logan Shay, $20 sponsored by Teten Electric Inc. Lance & Kala Griepenstroh, Talmage.   
Champion Rocket Exhibit: Cody Damme,  $20 given by N.V. Helping Hands 4-H Club.
Junior Ag Miscellaneous Exhibitor: Mavryc Morgan, $20 given by Gene and Cheryl Hobbie, Dunbar.
 Intermediate Ag Miscellaneous Exhibitor:  Bailey Boitnott, $20 given by Gene and Cheryl Hobbie, Dunbar.                               
Senior Ag Miscellaneous Exhibitor: Kayla Arnold, $20 given by Gene and Cheryl Hobbie, Dunbar.
