Otoe County 4-H’ers were honored for their outstanding work in the Home Environment project areas.  
The awards were announced on Saturday, July 30, at the Kimmel Events Center.
Following are the awards, the recipients,  a description of their winning entries and the donors:
Champion Beginner Home Environment Exhibit: Lindsey Spracklin, painted wood with horse shoe, $20 cash sponsored by Blum’s Custom Frames  and Engraving of Nebraska City.
Reserve Champion Home Environment Beginner Exhibit: Katelyn Smith, xylophone, $20 cash sponsored by Karen Hassler, Unadilla.
Champion Intermediate Home Environment Exhibit: Cody Damme,  a batik tile created with alcohol inks, $20 cash sponsored by The Keeping Room, Nebraska City.
Reserve Champion Home Environment Intermediate Exhibit: Sallie Schram, a “Sunset in the Forest” acrylic painting,  $20 cash sponsored by Verda Umland, Palmyra.
Champion Advanced Home Environment Exhibit: Justin Peto, wooded storage chest, $20 cash sponsored by Staack Furniture and Carpets, Syracuse.
Reserve Champion Advanced Home Environment Exhibit: Emma Panko, white with blue seat fabric covered chair, $20 cash sponsored by Nebraska City Upholstery and Design.
Champion Quilt Quest Exhibit: Anne Bennier, hummingbird quilted wall hanging, $20 gift certificate sponsored by Sew Enchanting of Nebraska City.
Reserve Champion Quilt Quest Exhibit: Mia Ortiz, pink chevron lap quilt, $20 cash sponsored by Laura Purcell, M.D. of North Carolina.
Junior Outstanding Home Environment Exhibitor: Alysa Myers, $20 given by Silver Creek 4-H Club, Palmyra.
Intermediate Outstanding Home Environment Exhibitor: Nima Faunce, $20 given by The Treasure Trove, Syracuse.
Senior Outstanding Home Environment Exhibitor: Valerie Miller, $20 given by Andrews Monument Works of Nebraska City.
