The public is invited to the Otoe County Local Emergency Planning Committee meeting June 23 at 10 a.m. at the Rowe Memorial Safety Complex training room, located at 1518 Central Ave.

Discussion and-or action items on LEPC’s agenda include:

Election of the 2017 chairperson and secretary, Training and exercises, Recent events, Review of Tier II forms, Review of the emergency plan, And preparation of the annual LEPS report to submit to State Emergency Response Commission.

The Otoe County LEPC is committed to increasing community safety and awareness through planning, public education and collaboration.
LEPC works cooperatively to seek out, discuss and evaluate the potential risk from hazardous chemicals by bringing together local governments, first responders and private industry to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from all hazardous materials incidents.
