The Nebraska City and Lourdes track and field teams sent athletes to this year’s NSAA State Track and Field Championships at Burke Stadium.
Class A and B athletes competed on Wednesday and Thursday at Burke Stadium. Tarryn Godsey a senior from Nebraska City threw the discus for a Class B 10th place finish of 114’5” while competing in her third state track meet. The top nine advanced to the finals.
Class C and D athletes competed on Friday and Saturday at Burke Stadium.
Lily Madison, a sophomore from Lourdes, jumped 16’2” to finish 13th out of 23 athletes in the Class C long jump. The top nine advanced to the finals.
Brooklyn Borer, a junior from Lourdes, ran in the prelims of the Class C 100 meter hurdles and placed 22nd out of 24 runners with a time of 17.14.
