One hundred three members of the Class of 2025 received their diplomas during commencement ceremonies at Nebraska City High School on Sunday, May 11.
Lextyn Harker offered opening remarks, senior speakers Evan Adkins and Dylan Cooper addressed the audience, and Elizabeth Poggemeyer provided closing remarks.
The NCHS band played “Pomp and Circumstance” and the National Anthem, and the NCHS Senior Singers performed “Set Me as a Seal Upon Your Heart.”
Nebraska City Public Schools Superintendent Mark Fritch presented graduates with their diplomas, and NCPS board of education members Lisa Chaney, Brent Shanholtz, Stacie Higgins, Rob Elson, John Hodges, Patricia Lant, Sally Schreiner, Jim Nemec, and Kent Blum offered their congratulations to the students.
Guidance counselor Jenna Howell announced during the ceremony that members of the class earned more than $1.5 million in scholarships.
