Lourdes track second, fifth in home meet standings

The Lourdes Knights girls’ and boys’ track teams hosted the annual Rettig Invite on Friday, May 9, at Nebraska City High School.

Team standings for the girls’ side were as follows: 1. Johnson-Brock, 163; 2. Lourdes, 112.5; 3. Humboldt-TRS, 71; 4. Heartland Christian, 54.5; 5. Pawnee City, 54; 6. Omaha Christian Academy, 42; 7. Mead, 12; 8. Lewiston, 10.

Medal winners for the Knight girls’ team were Lily Madison, first, long jump, 16’5”; Lauren Benedict, first, high jump, 4’11”; Mikena Haag, first, 100 meters, 13.12; third, 200 meters, 27.81; Harper Rutt, second, triple jump, 31’1.75”; Brooklyn Borer, third, 100 meters, 13.51; third, 100-meter hurdles, 17.33; fourth, long jump, 14’5.75”; Izzy Fulton, third, 3200 meters, 14:49.87; Emily Borer, third, triple jump, 30’4.5”; fourth, 100-meter hurdles, 17.80; sixth, high jump, 4’3”; Annastyn Duval, fourth, 200 meters, 28.88; fifth, 100 meters, 13.92; Amelia Moody, fifth, 400 meters, 67.59; Mary Misner, fourth, 300-meter hurdles, 56.00; fifth, 100-meter hurdles, 17.88; and Mia White, sixth, 3200 meters, 17:00.21; sixth, 300 hurdles, 58.44.

The top non-medal finishers were Kadence White, shot; and Lauren Benedict, discus.

Relay team finishes were 4×100, first, 52.81; 4×400, third, 4:53.44; and 4×800, fourth, 11:48.93.

Team standings on the boys’ side were as follows: 1. Mead, 133; 2. Pawnee City, 113; 3. Johnson-Brock, 93; 4. Humboldt-TRS, 64; 5. Lourdes, 39; 6. Heartland Christian, 38; 8. Omaha Christian, 30; 8. Lewiston, 14.

Medal winners for the Knight boys’ team were Simon Bruggeman, second, triple jump, 39’5.5”; Tobias Poppleton, second, 110-meter hurdles, 17.95; Justus Kreifels, third, discus, 131’5”; sixth, shot, 40’8.25”; and Dominic Schizas, third, long jump, 18’11.”

The top non-medal finishers were Blue Oggs, 100 meters; Gage Fedoris, 200 meters and 1600 meters; Maverick Weninger, 400 meters; Nick Fedoris, 800 meters and 3200 meters; Brady Schnitzer, 300-meter hurdles; and Leo Ramold, high jump.

Relay team finishes were 4×100, second, 47.21; and 4×400, fifth, 4:04.52.
