A team score of 56.75 placed the Lourdes girls’ track team in the middle of the field of teams at the Wilber Clatonia track meet on April 1.
Medal winners for the Knight girls’ team were Brooklyn Borer, first, 100 meter hurdles, 17.34; Mikena Haag, second, 100 meters, 14.30; Lily Madison, second, long jump, 16’2.25”; Mary Mizner, third, 100 meter hurdles, 17.81; fifth, 300 meter hurdles, 54.67; Harper Rutt, fourth, triple jump, 31’2.75”; Emily Borer, fourth, 100 meter hurdles, 18.01; Lauren Benedict, fifth, high jump, 4’6”; Amelia Moody, sixth, 400 meters, 1:10.03; Kadence White, sixth, shot, 27’5”; the 4×100 meter team of Seren Esser, Brooklyn Borer, Mikena Haag and Emily Borer, third, 56.36; the 4×400 relay team of Harper Rutt, Izzy Fulton, Mia White, and Amelia Moody, fifth, 4:44.37; and the 4×800 team of Lily Madison, Izzy Fulton, Mia White and Bree Denton, fourth, 12:26.64. Other non-medal winning top performers were Kadence White, discus; Lily Madison, 800 meters; and Annastyn Duval, 200 meters.
Medal winners for the Knight boys’ team were Justus Kreifels, third, discus, 147’2”; Dominic Schizas, third, long jump, 18’5.5”; Simon Bruggeman, third, triple jump, 38’1.5”; Brady Schnitzer, fifth, high jump, 5’6”; and the 4×100 team of Brandon Schnitzer, Brady Schnitzer, Gage Fedoris and Nathan Rain, fifth, 53.00. Other top non-medal winning performances were Simon Bruggeman, 100 meters; Everett Gay, 200 meters; Maverick Weninger, 400 meters; Stryder Meade, 800 meters; Brady Schnitzer, 300 meter hurdles; Justus Kreifels, discus; and the 4×400 team of Maverick Weninger, Dominic Schizas, Brady Schnitzer, and Stryder Meade.
Schools at the event were Milford, Raymond Central, Palmyra, Centennial, Freeman, Thayer Central, Wilber-Clatonia, and Heartland.
Palmyra swept the team championships for the boys’ and girls’ divisions for the meet.
