to the late John E. Jr. and Zula Louise (nee Beatty) Grooman. John is survived by his wife Karen; his daughter Janice (Mark) Bouloutian; his grandchildren Scott and Jessica; and his brothers Tom (Vonna) and Dave (Lauri).

John was born in Nebraska City NE, graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1965 and immediately joined the Navy. He served in naval air as a fire fighter at Johnsville, PA and Fentress, VA. After discharge, he returned to Nebraska to attend Nebraska Tech where he earned his Associate’s degree in Manurfacturing Technology. After graduation, he and his family move to PA. He started working at Rohm and Haas Company as an Engineering Aide, then became an Estimator, then moved on to become an IT Specialist. He worked at Rohm and Haas Company for 32 years–all at CED. Many out-of-work hours were spent teaching scuba diving. Later, he became and avid cyclist, bicycling across several states and down the coast of California. In his retirement he enjoyed attending spinning calsses at the gym, eating at his favorite restaurants for lunch and going to the movies.

He was a funny guy– awlways a jokester. That’s who we will miss the most.

Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Vistitation on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 from 10:00am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Catherine Of Siena Catholic Church 321 Witmer Rd, Horsham, PA 19044. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to a charity of your choise in John’s name.
