Indian Cave State Park set to host 10th Pink Pumpkin Walk

Indian Cave State Park will host the 10th annual “Pink Pumpkin Walk” on October 18th at 11am. This event recognizes “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. This walk is for all cancer survivors, fighters, and in memory of loved ones. Pre-register by October 5th. $25 registration fee for adults and $10 fee for youth. Registration is required to participate for everyone over the age of 10. Late registrations will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Call to order a personalized pink pumpkin in memory of a loved one, for those who have beat cancer and those currently with their fight. The cost for a pumpkin is $20 due by October 5th. No orders accepted after that date. You can take the pumpkin home with you at the conclusion of the event.

Proceeds are going to the Richardson County Cancer Fund in Falls City, Nebraska. Money will be dispersed by them to those in the county with their fight against all types of cancer to use for personal expenses. 

Get your “Pink On” and come out to support this very important event. A raffle will be held with generous donations from local businesses and individuals. You do not need to be present to win. Donations of raffle items will be accepted prior to and also the day of the walk. Registered walkers will be entered into a special drawing for door prizes.  Donations will be accepted up to the day of the event.

In the 10th year of this event, organizers are confident that the community will embrace and support this event to raise awareness and hope for the lives of everyone affected by cancer.
