The Hoback family recently celebrated the installation of benches at Clemmy Holmes Field at Steinhart Park as well as at the Nebraska City Softball Complex. The benches were donated in honor of Roger Hoback, who passed away in July 2021. Karen, Roger’s wife, and two sons, Brady and Colby, were in Nebraska City over the holidays and took photos with the dedicated benches. From left are Colby, Karen and Brady. The Hoback family has been long and strong supporters of Nebraska City athletics and fund the annual athletic award given to the MVP for Nebraska City High School baseball with that award being the Kenneth, Betty and Roger Hoback Baseball Award. “We spent a lot of nights at the baseball fields,” Karen said.
