Godsey, Marth medal at Platteview track meet

Two Pioneer weight throwers grabbed medals during action at the Platteview track and field meet on Friday, April 4.

Hannah Marth was fourth in the shot with a throw of 31’8.5” while Tarryn Godsey took second in the discus with a toss of 116’6”.

Other non-medal winning top performers for the Pioneer girls’ team were Clarisa Caraza, 100 meters; Payton Harrah, 200 meters and 400 meters; Addison Bittner, 800 meters; Rylee Stracke, 100 and 300 meter hurdles; and the 4×100 meter relay team of Sophia Baroni, Rylee Stracke, Payton Harrah and Clarisa Caraza.

Top non-medal winning performers on the boys’ side were Jayden Antonides, 100 meters and long jump; Dane Sjulin, 200 and 400 meters; Rhys Reimers, 1600 and 3200 meters; and Brayden Earll, shot and discus.

Teams at the meet were South Sioux City, Milford, Lincoln Christian, Omaha Gross, Platteview, Plattsmouth, Douglas County West, Mount Michael, Omaha Roncalli/Duchesne; Wahoo, Fort Calhoun, York, Louisville, and Malcolm.

Wahoo and Fort Calhoun swept the top two positions in the team standings for the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
