Fred Haase, age 87 of Kingwood Texas and previously of Nebraska CIty, passed away February 2 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX.
Fred was born on July 21, 1930 in Bennet, Nebraska to Henry and Clara (Goos) Haase. He grew up in Nebraska City and graduated from Nebraska CIty High School in 1948. After graduation, he served in the US Navy during the Korean War, serving in California, Alaska, and Japan. He worked in the petrochemical industry until age 80 and retired from Allied Chemical in Omaha and Houston after 25 years.
Fred was survived by his wife of 64 years, Jan (Tiede) Haase of Kingwood, TX; daughter Dr. Deborah Haase (Dr. John Hazle) of Kingwood, TX; son Doug Haase of Houston, TX; and grandchildren Jason (Alex) Haase of Northlake, TX; Madeline Hazle MD of San Antonio, TX; and Grant Hazle of Sheridan, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
