Ellis J. Harms

Ellis J. Harms, age 72 of Nebraska City passed away on Monday; October 3, 2022 at the Ambassador in Nebraska City.

She was born on December 7, 1949 at University Hospital in Omaha, NE: the daughter of George Anthony and Opal Orbedene (Perkins) Allen. She attended school and graduated from the Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1968. Ellis worked for 35 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in the Respiratory Therapy Deptartment.

She was a member of Eastern Star. She was united in marriage to Edwin A. Harms, II on May 1, 1993 in Nebraska City.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Edwin Harms of Nebr. City; daughters: Sarah Carter (Matt) of Ashburn, VA and Steffanie Giittinger (Matt Hower) of Nebr. City, NE; step-daughter Micole Harms-Brazell (Curlee) of Omaha, NE; 12 grandchildren, a brother George Dwayne Allen (Jackie) of San Angelo, TX; her best friend Charlie Boyce of Branson, MO, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Anthony Wayne Allen and Jaqueline Marie (Allen) Hull.

Memorial Services will be held Friday; Oct. 7, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City; burial will follow in the Wyuka Cemetery.
